Resumo: This paperaims to analyze the relationship between amateur actors and actresses who worked between the years 1961 and 1990 in the ABC Paulista (respectively the municipalities of Santo Andre, Sao Bernardo do Campo and Sao Caetano do SulSP) with the media mass, in particular television. From their oral narratives of life, the histories evidenced the scarcity of that technology, removing subjects from the suburbs to the raid of that media. At the same time, the cultural industry models that was appropriated and reinterpreted allowed the reposition of the subjects and encouraged the production of their communicative practices, exposing not only a relationship of resistance, but also of cultural appropriation and circulation.

A partir das narrativas orais de histórias de vida desses artistas, foi evidenciada a escassez tecnológica daquele momento que afastou os sujeitos do subúrbio da incursão às mídias.
