Resumo: | The objective of this text is to reflect upon the way art critics reveal themselves in the text and the role they perform in the field of artistic production. Presently, it is possible to observe that the authors of critiques have a tendency to assume a position of a “nonperson”, since they do not use any explicit vestige of first person, what would denote that they themselves are the enunciators. This way, they seem to endow their opinion with a factual and even scientific form, taking the authoritarian position of a “minor god” which is characteristic of a journalistic discourse influenced by both positivist and critical paradigms. The musical critique in Bravo! magazine, monthly publication about culture with wide circulation in Brazil, was used as a sample to illustrate this way the genre has constituted itself. |

The musical critique in Bravo! magazine, monthly publication about culture with wide circulation in Brazil, was used as a sample to illustrate this way the genre has constituted itself.
