Pedophilia in postmodernity: more than a cyberculture problem

Resumo: As a human sexuality behavior, nevertheless unclear, pedophilia has been present in human history since most remote times. Anchored in the freedom of communication, inherent to Postmodern age, this crime has been conquering space in media through the growing sexualization of children, having become more and more articulated with the existence of cyberspace. This article aims at analyzing the fact that pedophilia, facing these news options of interrelationships provided by Internet, has become extremely visible, and yet, so difficult to be controlled.

Gracias a la liberdad de comunicación, natural destos tiempos posmodernos, tal criminalidad encontró lugar en los media debido a una gradual sexualización de la niñez y tornouse más articulada com la llegada de lo ciberespacio. Este trabajo busca analizar la questión de que, enfrente las nuevas possibilidades de interelación propiciadas por la Internet, pocas veces la pedofilia ha estado aparente y, al mismo tiempo, tan difícil de ser controlada.Como uma forma de sexualidade, ainda que de conduta duvidosa, a pedofilia está presente na história humana desde os tempos mais remotos. Ancorada na liberdade de comunicação inerente aos tempos pós-modernos, essa criminalidade ganhou espaço na mídia através de uma gradual sexualização da infância e tornou-se mais articulada com a chegada do ciberespaço.
