Resumo: The paper aims to identify the specificities of archival documents tobe considered in its thematic representation. A bibliographical research wascarried out to collect data collection and to analyze the content for explorationand inferences. We identified 46 papers in the literature that pointed outspecificities in the thematic representation of archival documents. Threespecificities cited by the authors were identified: I. To consider the principle ofprovenance and the quality of organicity; II. To relate thematic representationto the functions of Classification and Archival Description; III. Analyze thehierarchical structure in which the document is inserted, since archival  documents will always be part of a set. Based on this characterization, it ispossible to think about the integration of the archival document intoinformation systems, considering its specificities, without compromising itsauthenticity.

Realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica, para o levantamento dos dados e a análise de conteúdo para exploração e inferências. Foram identificados 46 trabalhos na literatura que apontavam especificidades na representação temática de documentos arquivísticos. Identicou-se três especificidades citadas nas pesquisas analisadas: (1) considerar o princípio da proveniência e a qualidade da organicidade; (2) relacionar a representação temática às funções de Classificação e Descrição Arquivística; (3) analisar a estrutura hierárquica na qual o documento está inserido, visto que documentos arquivísticos sempre farão parte de um conjunto documental.
