The appropriation of the discourse of Others and the composition of authorial utterances in ENEM

Resumo: As we participate in the discussion about the teaching and learning of the Portuguese language in school, we propose, in this paper, an analysis of the modes and forms of appropriation of the discourse of Others when candidates of the High School Nacional Exam (ENEM in Portuguese) write authorial utterances in their texts, which have been shared on the internet. To do that, we have used, as our theoretical basis, the Circle’s (BAKHTIN, 2010 [1919/20]; 2015 [1934/35]; 2016 [1952/53]; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017 [1929]; VOLOCHINOV, 2013ab [1930]; MEDVIÉDEV, 2012 [1928]) understanding of language. For the analysis, we selected excerpts from three well-evaluated texts of ENEM candidates, made freely available on the internet. Based on the analysis, we noticed that despite their tendency to mark the discourse of Others, the interrelation between appropriated discourses and authorial discourses was also verified.

Based on the analysis, we noticed that despite their tendency to mark the discourse of Others, the interrelation between appropriated discourses and authorial discourses was also verified.  Ao tomar parte da discussão a respeito do ensino e da aprendizagem de língua materna na escola, neste artigo, propomos analisar os modos e formas de apropriação do discurso de outrem na construção de discursos autorais de candidatos do Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio (ENEM), por meio de textos disponibilizados na internet. Para tanto, partimos da perspectiva filosófica de linguagem do Círculo (BAKHTIN, 2010 [1919/20]; 2015 [1934/35]; 2016 [1952/53]; VOLÓCHINOV, 2017 [1929]; VOLOCHINOV, 2013ab [1930]; MEDVIÉDEV, 2012 [1928]) e, para a análise, selecionamos três excertos-dizeres de três textos de candidatos do ENEM, dentre redações bem avaliadas disponibilizadas livremente na internet.
