Resumo: | This article focuses on the play in early childhood education. This is a topic that, despite being widely discussed in the field of science education, it is still like this place works. It is a study in a public school located in the city of Martins, RN. In this context, this study seeks to answer the following question: how important is the play for children's education? This research question has guided all the investigative route. And the goal is to understand the importance of play in the context of early childhood education. It was anchored in research and in the light of the thinking of theorists such as Tordelo (1999); Madroney (1998); Brazil (1998). We chose a mixed methodology that combines the literature and empirical considering the most viable for the study concerned. As a result, it was understood that the play is considered an important tool for students / children studying in kindergarten. |

Trata-se de um tema que, apesar de ser bastante discutido no campo da ciência da educação, ainda cabe lugar para trabalhos como este. Trata-se de um estudo realizado numa escola pública localizada no município de Martins, RN. Neste contexto, o referido estudo procura responder a seguinte indagação: que importância tem o brincar para a educação infantil? Esta questão de pesquisa norteou todo o percurso investigativo. E o objetivo consiste em compreender a importância desse brincar no contexto da educação infantil. Ancorou-se em pesquisas e à luz do pensamento dos teóricos, tais como: Tordelo (1999); Madroney (1998); Brasil (1998). Optou-se por uma metodologia mista que combina-se a pesquisa bibliográfica e a empírica por considerar a mais viável para a realização do estudo em causa.
