Resumo: This study is aimed to examine the strategic behavior adopted by the Directors of Hotels in Florianopolis –Santa Catarina– Brasil, according to the typology of Miles and Snow (1978). We have opted for the quantitative and descriptive approach using questionnaires to collect. The results showed that 45% of administrators Hotels in Florianopolis adopt the following behaviors: Analysts 31%, 19% and 5% Reactive Pesticides. We conclude, therefore, that managers adopt, mostly surveyors behaviors that are characterized by the search for new markets and introducing new products and services to customers, noting that, in general, were prevalent behaviors prospectors and analysts, who added, amounted to a percentage of 77% of the behaviors identified

Optamos por uma abordagem quantitativa e descritiva, utilizando questionários para recolher. Os resultados mostraram que 45% dos administradores de hotéis em Florianópolis adotam os seguintes comportamentos: 31% Analistas, 19% Reativos e 5% Defensivos.
