Resumo: This paper presents some specific aspects related to the Brazilian cultural identity and exposes how the music fits in this context. What degree of importance it has in the development of this identity and how the Brazilian percussion, and more specifically the tambourine, is crucial for this achievement. States, especially the importance of the formal education mainly focused on the percussion and tambourine, because it is the element that will lead (on behalf of all its popularity, national and international) the introduction of other percussive elements in this formal education context in order to create a strengthening of this cultural identity for us to attain the internationalization of Brazilian music really consolidated worldwide. It also presents this event as a key factor for the social and economic development of Brazil.

Expõe, sobretudo, a importância da formalização da educação voltada à percussão e principalmente ao pandeiro , por se tratar do elemento que acarretará (por conta de toda sua popularidade, nacional e internacional) a introdução de outros elementos percussivos nesse contexto formal de ensino, afim de que se crie um fortalecimento dessa identidade cultural para que atinjamos a internacionalização realmente consolidada da musicalidade brasileira no mundo todo.
