This article discusses the relationship between body and personal object and the influences that sensations and memories triggered by these offer to the movement. The research is justified by your validity as a preparation, interpretation and creation method in contemporary dance. This paper aims to reflect about the contemporary body and the dance that is done in contemporaneity as well as investigate the creative potential of sensations and memories in motion investigation process, and also observe the choices made by memories and sensations in relationship with the creative process, through the contact with significant value objects. For this, authors like Patricia Leal, Karenine Porpino, Rosely Conz, Bruna Bellinazzi Peres, Jussara Miller, Nirvana Marinho, Daniel Silveira, Zeloi Martins dos Santos, among others were studied. Along the research it was developed a case study that provides a method of using the investigated relationship and notes the decisions taken by dancers in creative activities. The study of the relationship between body, memory, senses and dance, referring to this research, is justified by the artistic and educational contribution. Providing the basis for creative processes in dance and also involving the subject in a reflective and creative relationship by giving contributions to the field of dance research.
