Resumo: This research aimed to present a material both for teachers and for high school students, who can help fill in some gaps in the teaching of complex numbers and its applications. The work constitutes an attempt to arouse greater interest of student in relation to mathematics, specifically, the complex numbers, converging, so these make your own discoveries making and arousing the curiosity of the same for this learning. The methodology adopted for the study was to review, through books, articles and internet sites indexed, highlighted in detailed explanation, thorough and accurate piece of content on the complex numbers.
