Danças midiáticas no contexto escolar: uma ação pedagógica para refletir sobre a figura da mulher no funk

This work, written as a partial requirement of my Course Completion Work, reports the experience in the Supervised Internship in Dance Teaching III discipline, offered by the Danc e Department of the Federal University of Sergipe during the eighth curricular academic period of the Degree. The purpose of the internship was to develop a cultural artistic project, which I will call here a pedagogical action, in which I developed together with eight other students on the course, using a methodology based on practical exercises that aimed to awaken students' interest in dance, since I had been observed in Stage II a certain resistance to this artistic practice. The pedagogical action entitled “Media dances in the school context: The woman in the eyes of the media”, used Funk lyrics as an object of study, aiming to raise awareness and reflect on media songs and the devaluation of women in the compositions of this musical genre. The work led me to understand the importance of dance as a powerful element in the education of adolescents and young people, with ample possibilities for promoting discussions on topics that could contribute to the citizenship formation of students.
