Ingresso e permanência da mulher no ensino superior após a maternidade : um estudo com as alunas do curso de Administração da Universidade Federal de Sergipe

Resumo: | Over the years it was possible to notice the stronger presence of women in environments previously had only male presences, being one of these means, the academic. Thus, this study has as a general objective to analyze and analyze the direct and indirect effects of maternity in relation to the entry and permanence of women in higher education. A research was carried out at the Federal University of Sergipe, on the São Cristovão campus, with the students attending the morning, afternoon and evening classes. This is a quantitative and qualitative research of exploratory nature, in which the survey method was chosen with the application of a questionnaire with closed and open questions, where the students had the opportunity to report their stories or suggest improvements for the study. It is concluded that women are increasingly having access to the labor market, but with a tendency towards entrepreneurship, in the case of a student who is a mother, in order to reconcile study and profession. There is a sensitivity of the teachers to understand the moment of the student's leave, however, there are problems of communication regarding the aforementioned license, with difficulty to get the information so that the student continues with the home studies. Maternity, according to those surveyed, leads to delays in training and even dropping out of the course. They suggested the granting of financial assistance or availability of day care for the student who is a mother. Finally, it is recommended the deepening of the research with students from other courses and also a comparative study with other realities. |

Desse modo, este estudo tem como objetivo geral levantar e analisar os efeitos diretos e indiretos da maternidade em relação ao ingresso e permanência da mulher no ensino superior. Foi realizada uma pesquisa na Universidade Federal de Sergipe, no campus de São Cristovão, com as alunas do curso de Administração presencial matutino, vespertino e noturno. Esta é uma pesquisa quantitativa e qualitativa de caráter exploratório, na qual se escolheu o método de levantamento com aplicação de questionário com perguntas fechadas e abertas, onde as alunas tiveram oportunidade de relatar suas histórias ou sugerir melhorias para o estudo. Conclui-se que a mulher está cada vez mais tendo acesso ao mercado de trabalho, mas com uma tendência para o empreendedorismo, no caso de aluna que é mãe, a fim de conciliar estudo e profissão. Existe uma sensibilidade dos docentes para compreender o momento da licença da aluna, porém, existem problemas de comunicação quanto a referida licença, com dificuldade de chegar as informações para que a aluna siga com os estudos domiciliares. A maternidade, segundo as pesquisadas, leva a atrasos na formação e inclusive na desistência do curso. Sugeriram a concessão de auxílio financeiro ou disponibilidade de creche para a aluna que é mãe.
