The objective of this work checked the contributions of the course of Administration of the Federal University of Sergipe, campuses Saint Cristovão, in terms of academic formation, for the development of competences applied to a professional administrator. This inquiry is justified, for the knowledge that she will favor on the conclusive ones as to his perceptions on the competences acquired along the course for the professional life. The used methodology was one of character descriptive and quantitative, it used the survey with 51 conclusive of the course of administration. The data were treated with simple descriptive statistic, through the software microsoftware package excel. The study ended which great part of the competences are being worked in the course, but it has a few of them that the result showed that it still has difficulties. The competences and the most important skills to act in the market are: to value highly for the quality in what does; to be able to take decisions; to have emotional self-control and to be an adaptable and flexible person. The improvements that might be carried out in the course are: to offer more matters with practical existences and to improve the quality of the education of the teachers in the financial area.
