This research aimed to report the main experiences that led to reflective practices during the Supervised Internship with the 6th grade of the Final Years of Elementary School in Emergency Remote Education. Then, a qualitative research of the experience report type was carried out in which the trainee's training diary built during the Supervised Internship was analyzed. The main results were the use of news reports and YouTube videos as resources that were compatible with the classes on WhatsApp and that also presented the possibility of bringing the student's daily life closer to scientific knowledge. Furthermore, it was highlighted that the 6th grade teacher's role should go beyond teaching the class but should also help the development of autonomy and responsibility of these students. Thus, it was considered that despite the difficulties presented in the teaching process, it was possible for the trainee to assume the role of mediator and help students in a more autonomous learning, without being dependent on what the teacher says or writes. Therefore, one can understand that, as tempting as it may be to dictate what is right or wrong, leading students to find the answers themselves is more contributive, aiming at an emancipatory education.
