Resumo: | The theme of this research work addresses Federal Law No. 12,244 of May 24, 2010, which discusses the universalization of school libraries and the actions that school librarians in Sergipe and Salvador have on this Law and what are the challenges encountered for the effective implementation of Law 12,244/2010. This research aimed to: verify the action of school librarians in Aracaju and Salvador regarding Law 12,244/2010; analyze, through a literature review, the works published on Law 12,244/2010; Identify, based on the opinion of librarians working in the cities of Aracaju and Salvador, which challenges were found for the effective implementation of Law 12,244/2010. The methodology used was descriptive, with a qualitative and quantitative approach, in which a questionnaire with open and closed questions was used as a data collection technique, applied to a sample of seventeen school librarians. As a result, it was found that most of the research subjects are female, occupy the age group between 26 and 65 years old, the highest level of education is the master's level training and most respondents work in libraries from the private network. There are some research/work groups focused on the theme of the school library, but in this research we observed that only one of the respondents participates in any group. The Law has completed 10 years since its approval, but for the majority there has been no progress in its implementation and because it has not been put into effect within the given period, the lawmakers have extended the aforementioned Law for another 04 years, where most of the research subjects have already learned. Since 2010, the year the Law was passed, they learned about it through the university as students, on councils and on social networks. As for the active librarians, actions were used such as awareness of managers, encouragement of reading, giving greater visibility to the library regarding the application of the Law. The barriers (difficulties) that libraries face in order to comply with the Law are varied. , such as the lack of inspection and punishment by the competent bodies, to the lack of recognition both of the importance of school libraries and of the professional librarian. For this, measures such as strengthening public policies and the interest of serious and committed politicians who can join forces to provide visibility for the effective implementation of Law 12.244/0. We conclude that the school librarians who participated in the survey showed to be engaged and updated on what the Law referred to and this is a very important point for our class, as it is seen that these professionals are developing actions for the Law to take greater proportions and reach all audiences that are part of the institutions. |

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivos: verificar qual a ação dos (as) bibliotecários (as) escolares em Aracaju e Salvador sobre a Lei 12.244/2010; analisar através de uma revisão de literatura, os trabalhos publicados sobre a Lei 12.244/2010; Identificar com base na opinião dos bibliotecários atuantes nas cidades de Aracaju e Salvador, quais os desafios encontrados para a implantação efetiva da Lei 12.244/2010. A metodologia utilizada foi de caráter descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa, no qual foi utilizado como técnica de coleta de dados um questionário com questões abertas e fechadas, aplicado para uma amostra de dezessete bibliotecários escolares. Como resultados, constatou-se que a maioria dos sujeitos da pesquisa é do gênero feminino, ocupam a faixa etária entre 26 a 65 anos de idade, o maior grau de instrução é a formação a nível de mestrado e a maioria dos respondentes atuam em bibliotecas da rede privada. Existe alguns grupos de pesquisa/trabalho voltados a temática da biblioteca escolar, porém nesta pesquisa observamos que apenas um dos respondentes participa de algum grupo. A Lei completou 10 anos desde a sua aprovação, mas para a maioria não houve avanços na sua implementação e por não haver a efetivação no prazo que foi dado, os legisladores prorrogaram a referida Lei para mais 04 anos, onde grande parte dos sujeitos da pesquisa já tomou conhecimento. Desde 2010, ano da aprovação da Lei, eles tomaram conhecimento através da universidade enquanto estudantes, nos conselhos e nas redes sociais. Quanto aos bibliotecários atuantes, foi usada ações como conscientização dos gestores, incentivo a leitura, dar uma maior visibilidade para a biblioteca no que tange a aplicação da Lei. Já as barreiras (dificuldades) que as bibliotecas enfrentam para que a Lei seja cumprida são variadas, à exemplo da ausência de fiscalização e punição por meio dos órgãos competentes, até a falta de reconhecimento tanto da importância das bibliotecas escolares quanto do profissional bibliotecário. Para isso, medidas como fortalecimento das políticas públicas e interesse de políticos sérios e comprometidos que possam unir forças para proporcionar visibilidade para a efetiva implantação da Lei 12.244/0.
