Resumo: This paper presents a brief study of the pamphlet literature, addressing his arrival in the country by the Brazilian coast and featuring some factors to their dominance in the Northeast. Highlights the first cordelistas responsible for expanding the line for all regions of the country and offers contemporary cordelistas. It aims to see how the line of literature is used in the transmission of information for school. In terms of methodology, we were carried out bibliographic research for the search of material for the theoretical support and interviews to two cordelistas teachers who work in schools of Maruim municipalities and Simon Dias, to see how used the line for the transmission of information students. For data analysis we used the qualitative method. This research shows how the line can be used in school and what actions are carried out in classrooms by teachers surveyed. It is considered that the line in a pluralistic way constitutes an informal information material that complements the curriculum and extracurricular activities providing contact with topics about culture, language, stories, etc. and promotes the customs learning incentive and of cultural expressions, social, writing and reading.

Destaca os primeiros cordelistas responsáveis por expandir o cordel por todas as regiões do país e apresenta cordelistas contemporâneos. Tem por objetivo verificar como a literatura de cordel é utilizada na transmissão de informação para escolares. Em termos metodológicos, foram realizadas a pesquisa bibliográfica para a busca do material para o suporte teórico e entrevistas a dois professores cordelistas que atuam nas escolas dos Municípios de Maruim e de Simão Dias, a fim de verificar como utilizavam o cordel para a transmissão de informações aos alunos. Para a análise de dados foi adotado o método qualitativo. Esta pesquisa apresenta como o cordel pode ser utilizado na escola e quais ações são desenvolvidas em salas de aula pelos professores pesquisados.
