Resumo: This paper reports experiences obtained in the extension course "Teacher Training", accomplished in 2018 and 2019 at the IFPE - Campus Barreiros, for Portuguese language teachers of elementary school at the Municipal Secretariat of Rio Formoso - PE, based on the assumption that training continued contributes to the evolution of the pedagogical practice and, consequently, reflects on the students' learning. “The continuous training of teachers must be nurtured by innovative perspectives that do not preferentially use “formal training”, but that seek to invest in educational situations from an educational point of view” (Nóvoa, 2002). We had as theoretical support: Nóvoa, Tardif, Freire, Libâneo and Charlot. The objective of the course was to meet the needs of teachers in the preparation of statements for textual interpretation issues, aiming at better performance in Portuguese language classes, as well as effective learning to provide students with positive results in the assessments internal and external. The professors revealed that the course significantly changed their practices, mainly in the elaboration of textual interpretation questions, in the readings directed with the students, contributed to reflect on the daily planning, another positive factor was the result of the students' performance in the external evaluations.

The professors revealed that the course significantly changed their practices, mainly in the elaboration of textual interpretation questions, in the readings directed with the students, contributed to reflect on the daily planning, another positive factor was the result of the students' performance in the external evaluations.Este trabalho relata experiências obtidas no curso de extensão “Formação de Professores”, realizado em 2018 e 2019 no IFPE - Campus Barreiros, para docentes de Língua Portuguesa do ensino fundamental da Secretaria Municipal do Rio Formoso – PE, partindo do pressuposto de que a formação continuada contribui para a evolução do fazer pedagógico e, consequentemente, reflete no aprendizado dos discentes. “A formação contínua de professores deve alimentar-se de perspectivas inovadoras que não utilizem preferencialmente “formações formais”, mas que procurem investir do ponto de vista educativo as situações escolares” (Nóvoa, 2002). Tivemos como aporte teórico: Nóvoa, Tardif, Freire, Libâneo e Charlot. O objetivo do curso foi atender às necessidades dos docentes na elaboração de enunciados para questões de interpretação textual, visando a um melhor desempenho nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa, bem como um aprendizado eficaz para proporcionar aos discentes resultados positivos nas avaliações internas e externas. Os docentes revelaram que o curso modificou significativamente suas práticas, principalmente, na elaboração de questões de interpretação textual, nas leituras dirigidas com os discentes.
