Construção de cartilha para prevenção de dependência tecnológica em adolescentes escolares

Resumo: Introduction: Technological dependence is a disorder characterized by the inability to control the use of information technology (IT) even if this use is already causing a negative impact on the main areas of the individual's life. Adolescents are highly susceptible to developing behavioral problems and other psychosocial disorders due to the indiscriminate use of ICTs.Objective: to build a booklet aimed at preventing technological dependence in school adolescents. Method: The research took place in 3 stages: (1) cross-sectional study to assess the degree of severity of adolescents' internet addiction using the Internet Addiction Instrument; (2) scope review in order to summarize the main guidelines for preventing and/or managing technological dependence; (3) construction of a booklet to prevent technological dependence in school adolescents. Results: Field research was carried out with 55 adolescents enrolled at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology in the state of Sergipe, 28 of whom were male, with an average age of 16.31 (±0.5) years. The moderate degree corresponded to 87.3%, which indicates that the majority of participants faced recurring internet interference in their daily lives. The scoping review brought together information extracted from 9 articles published between 2008 and 2021 that provide educational measures to be worked on at school and/or family. It warns about the losses due to the indiscriminate use of the internet, such as: difficulty in carrying out daily activities and social relationships, changes in sleep, depressive and compulsive symptoms, a weakened lifestyle, among others. And finally, the booklet was created, which was divided into pre-textual, textual and post-textual elements. The textual content was delimited into topics: what is technological dependence, how does a person become dependent on technology, what are the warning signs and measures to prevent technological dependence. Conclusion: The prepared booklet offers support so that teenagers can identify their relationship with technology and encourages them to use it consciously. O adolescente é um público com grande suscetibilidade a desenvolver problemas comportamentais e outros distúrbios psicossociais devido o uso indiscriminado das TICs. Objetivo: construir uma cartilha voltada para prevenção da dependência tecnológica em adolescentes escolares. Método: A pesquisa ocorreu em 3 etapas: (1) estudo transversal para avaliar o grau de severidade da dependência de internet de adolescentes através do Instrumento Internet Addiction; (2) revisão de escopo a fim de sintetizar as principais orientações de prevenção e/ ou manejo de dependência tecnológica; (3) construção de cartilha para prevenção de dependência tecnológica em adolescentes escolares. Resultados: A pesquisa de campo foi realizada com 55 adolescentes matriculados no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do estado de Sergipe, sendo 28 do sexo masculino, a idade média de 16,31 (±0,5) anos. O grau moderado correspondeu a 87,3 %, o que indica que a maioria dos participantes enfrentavam interferências recorrentes da internet no seu cotidiano. A revisão de escopo reuniu informações extraídas de 9 artigos publicados entre os anos de 2008 e 2021 que trazem medidas educativas para serem trabalhadas na escola e/ou família. Alerta sobre os prejuízos devido ao uso indiscriminado da internet como: dificuldade na elaboração das atividades cotidianas e relações sociais, alteração no sono, sintomas depressivos e compulsivos, estilo de vida fragilizada entre outros. E, por fim foi construída a cartilha a qual foi dividida em elementos pré-textuais, textuais e pós-textuais. O conteúdo textual delimitou-se em tópicos: o que é dependência tecnológica, como uma pessoa se torna dependente por tecnologias, quais os sinais de alerta e medidas de prevenção da dependência tecnológica. Conclusão: A cartilha elaborada oferece subsídio para que adolescentes possam identificarsua relação com a tecnologia e desperta para seu uso consciente.
