Brazilian Mathematics olympiad of public schools: An analysis of evidence of content validity

Resumo: In view of the number of different external evaluations to which the school has been subjected and, regardless of the clothes with which they present themselves, either with the aim of knowing, diagnosing and monitoring the weaknesses of the systems, or to compare the learning levels of students from different countries, whether with the slogan of stimulating and promoting the study of certain areas of knowledge or even identifying talents, etc., whatever the objectives, it is necessary that the tests present evidence of content validity. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the evidence of validity of the content of the test of the first phase, level 2, of the Brazilian Mathematics Olympiad of Public Schools - Obmep, of 2017. Specifically, it seeks to analyze questions regarding the Obmep test in comparison with the reference documents, in order to check if the representativeness - the cognitive demand - of the questions is in line with the expected contents. For this, the evidence of validity of the content of the Obmep test was raised using the blueprint and the analysis of judges, with subsequent calculation of the Content Validity Ratio - RVC. To compose the part referring to the contents in the blueprint, since the contents provided for Obmep were not found, the Moving Curriculum used in the Federal District and the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) were considered. The results revealed that it is necessary that the organizers of Obmep publish content covered in the test and adapt the Olympics to their objectives, which are to encourage and promote the study of mathematics, causing social inclusion through knowledge and contributing to the improvement of the quality of life. basic education. Obmep.Diante da quantidade de diferentes avaliações externas a que  tem sido submetida a escola e, independentemente da roupagem com que elas se apresentem, seja com o intuito de conhecer, diagnosticar e monitorar as fragilidades dos sistemas, seja de comparar os níveis de aprendizagem de estudantes de países diferentes, seja com o slogan de estimular e promover o estudo de determinadas áreas do conhecimento ou mesmo identificar talentos, etc., quaisquer que sejam os objetivos, é necessário que os testes apresentem evidências de validade de conteúdo. Desse modo, o objetivo deste artigo é analisar as evidências de validade do conteúdo da prova da primeira fase, nível 2, da Olimpíada Brasileira de Matemática das Escolas Públicas – Obmep, de 2017. Especificamente, busca-se analisar questões referentes à prova da Obmep em comparação com os documentos de referência, a fim de verificar se a representatividade - a demanda cognitiva - das questões está em consonância com os conteúdos previstos. Para tanto, as evidências de validade do conteúdo da prova da Obmep foram levantadas fazendo-se uso da blueprint e da análise de juízes, com posterior cálculo da Razão de Validade de Conteúdo – RVC. Para compor a parte referente aos conteúdos na blueprint, uma vez que não foram encontrados os conteúdos previstos para a Obmep, foram considerados o Currículo em Movimento utilizado no Distrito Federal e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN). Os resultados revelaram que é necessário que os organizadores da Obmep publicizem conteúdos abordados na prova e adequem a Olimpíada aos seus objetivos, que são incentivar e promover o estudo da matemática, ocasionando a inclusão social por meio do conhecimento e contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade da educação básica.
