Resumo: | This work aims to present the results of a research about the effects and the role of laboratory activities in Physics learning from the Engineering courses students’ perspective. The studies started from an initial research hypothesis which considered the possibility to these students understand Physics, in special the practical activities, a bias less theoretical and more focused on the applicability of the principles, the laws and the Physics theories. The results showed the working hypothesis was largely confirmed and the introduction of a working proposal in experimental classes, based on problems-challenges showed more effective and offered didactics and epistemic advantages. |

The results showed the working hypothesis was largely confirmed and the introduction of a working proposal in experimental classes, based on problems-challenges showed more effective and offered didactics and epistemic advantages.Este trabalho tem o objetivo de apresentar resultados de uma investigação sobre os efeitos e o papel de atividades de laboratório na aprendizagem da Física a partir da perspectiva dos próprios estudantes de cursos de Engenharias. Os estudos partiram de uma hipótese inicial de pesquisa que considerou a possibilidade de esses estudantes perceberem a Física, em especial as atividades práticas, de um viés menos teórico e mais voltado à aplicabilidade dos princípios, leis e teorias físicas. Os resultados indicaram que a hipótese de trabalho se confirma em boa medida e que a introdução de uma proposta de trabalho para as aulas experimentais baseada em situação-desafio se mostrou mais efetiva e ofereceu vantagens didáticas e epistêmicas.
