History and archival science: possible alliances – a case study

Resumo: The study aimed to consider possible alliances between history and archival science through Public Archives analysis - Councillor Ivan Jose Lopes and the reports of some residents about archival institutions. We seek to understand the role of archive as one of the places of the memory (s) of the city and not just guardian of old papers and old. To this end, the methodology used consisted, in particular, on oral history.

Procuramos entender o papel do arquivo como um dos lugares da(s) memória(s) da cidade e não apenas guardião de papéis antigos e velhos.
