Resumo: Discusses the process of construction of the undergraduate degree in archival science at UFSC. Considers that its implementation reflects the combination of three factors: 1) offer Archival discipline for over thirty years in the undergraduate program in Librarianship; 2) offer of six editions of the specialization course in archival science, which provided the training of high-level professionals working in organizations established in Santa Catarina State; and 3) political approach that educational AAAPSC exercised in the context of Santa Catarina directing their actions for the deployment of an undergraduate degree in archival science in Santa Catarina State.
