Initial conceptions of undergraduate students participating in PIBID chemistry on experimentation in chemistry teaching

Resumo: | This work aimed to identify the initial conceptions of undergraduate students participating in the PIBID Chemistry subproject at a public university in the state of Paraná, about Experimentation in Chemistry Teaching. In order to identify such conceptions, the questionnaire related to the theme was analyzed, which was applied in the midst of the activities developed in the subproject. The results suggested that the conceptions of the undergraduates were, for the most part, related to experimentation being an alternative for the proof/illustration of theories through the experiment, as well as to motivate and arouse the interest of the students. students reinforcing the simplistic and traditional idea about the role of experimental activities. In this sense, we emphasize the importance of the training process of future Chemistry teachers, within the PIBID space, so that they can discuss and reflect on the experimental activities, especially the objectives that are expected with the experiments and their role in the teaching and learning process of Chemistry. |

Para identificarmos tais concepções, analisamos um questionário referente ao tema, que foi aplicado em meio às atividades desenvolvidas no subprojeto. Os resultados sugeriram que as concepções dos(as) licenciandos(as) estiveram, em sua maioria, relacionadas ao fato de a experimentação ser uma alternativa para comprovar/ilustrar teorias por meio do experimento, bem como para motivar e despertar o interesse dos(as) alunos(as), reforçando a ideia simplista e tradicional sobre o papel das atividades experimentais.
