Resumo: This paper aims to discuss design and semiotic work in texts produced in digital environments, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic with a view to informing the citizen, in a process of recontextualizing scientific knowledge to the media context. From the perspective of the Multimodal Social Semiotics approach, we delimit infographics as object of reflection produced in 2020 by institutions linked to the Health area in order to understand the policies of choice in the production of meanings in scientific popularization texts and the designs that trigger these social practices of languages, encompassing multiple languages and the influence of digital technologies.

Center for Research in Computing, Literature, and Linguistics (NuPILL)2021-08-04info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/textodigital/article/view/8135110.5007/1807-9288.2021.e81351Texto Digital; Vol. 17 No. 1 (2021): Multimodalidade em textos digitais - Parte I; 169-190Texto Digital; Vol. 17 No 1 (2021): Multimodalidade em textos digitais - Parte I; 169-190Texto Digital; v. 17 n. 1 (2021): Multimodalidade em textos digitais - Parte I; 169-1901807-9288reponame:Texto digitalinstname:Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)instacron:UFSCporhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/textodigital/article/view/81351/47012Copyright (c) 2021 Záira Bomfante dos Santos, Vanessa Tiburtinohttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Záira Bomfante dosTiburtino, Vanessa2021-08-04T13:44:14Zoai:periodicos.ufsc.br:article/81351Revistahttp://www.periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/textodigitalPUBhttps://periodicos.ufsc.br/index.php/textodigital/oaitextodigital@cce.ufsc.br1807-92881807-9288opendoar:2021-08-04T13:44:14Texto digital - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC)false
