Resumo: This text aims to analyze the scientific practices of research groups dedicated to the academic-scientific subfield of Physical Education in Schools. It focuses on groups working in the Southern region of Brazil. As the methodological design, the authors have chosen qualitative research and prosopography as methodological procedures linking semi-structured interviews to the analysis of documents for obtaining information. The authors conclude that the scientific practices of the groups are politically and epistemologically oriented, which affects not only the agents’ practices but also the interests and intentions that guide their actions and dispositions in the social space. As a result, their research agendas, methodological paths, problematizations, and scientific productions become closely linked to their political and epistemological basis, and, therefore, conceptions of the world, of education and school Physical Education.

El diseño metodológico se basa en la investigación cualitativa y presenta la prosopografía como un procedimiento metodológico vinculado a las entrevistas semiestructuradas y el análisis de documentos como herramientas para el proceso de obtención de información. Entendemos que las prácticas científicas de los grupos están orientadas político-epistemológicamente y no solo indican lo que hacen y cómo lo hacen los agentes, sino, sobre todo, los intereses e intenciones que orientan sus acciones y disposiciones en el espacio social, desde su Las agendas de investigación, los caminos metodológicos tomados, las problematizaciones realizadas y las producciones científicas están estrechamente vinculadas a sus bases político-epistemológicas y, por tanto, concepciones del mundo, la educación e la Educación Física escolar.O presente texto é fruto de uma tese de doutorado e tem como objetivo apresentar as práticas científicas dos grupos de pesquisa da região sul do Brasil que pesquisam o subcampo acadêmico-científico da Educação Física escolar. O desenho metodológico estrutura-se a partir da pesquisa qualitativa e apresenta a prosopografia como procedimento metodológico vinculado a entrevistas semiestruturadas e à análise de documentos como ferramentas do processo de obtenção das informações.
