Between denialisms and the enthronement of science: epistemology as a field of possibilities for university formation (in the field of Physical Education)

Resumo: The main objective of this text is to present a reflection on complex elements that are intensely placed in our times: the enthronement of science and the production of negationist narratives. I work with the idea that epistemology can be a crucial role in the possibility of qualifying university formation, enhancing our ability to face, on the one side, the enthronement of the sciences and, on the other side, negationism without minimally plausible scientific foundation. The text subdivide in three moments. In the first, I try to approach the paradox that we live in contemporaneity, in which the production of life takes place between denialisms and scientisms. In the second, I try to highlight contributions that epistemology could bring, taking the discussion to the scope of university formation. Finally, I present nexus of this discussion with Physical Education, a field of knowledge that is still recent, in the affirmation phase in the spectre scientific-academic contemporary.

Trabajo con la idea de que la epistemología podría tener un papel crucial en la posibilidad de cualificar la formación universitaria, potenciando nuestra capacidad para enfrentar, por un lado, la entronización de las ciencias, y, por otro, el negacionismo carente de un fundamento científico mínimamente plausible. El texto se divide en tres momentos. En el primero trato de aproximarme a la paradoja que vivimos en la contemporaneidad, en que la producción de vida se da entre el negacionismo y el cientificismo. En el segundo, trato de resaltar aportes que la epistemología podría traer, llevando la discusión al ámbito de la formación universitaria. Finalmente, presento vínculos entre esta discusión y la Educación Física, un campo de conocimiento aún reciente, en fase de afirmación en el amplio espectro académico-científico contemporáneo.O objetivo central deste texto é apresentar uma reflexão acerca de elementos complexos que se colocam de maneira intensa em nossos tempos: a entronização da ciência e a produção de narrativas negacionistas. Trabalho com a ideia de que a epistemologia poderia assumir um papel nevrálgico na possibilidade de qualificar a formação universitária, potencializando nossa capacidade de enfrentar, por um lado, a entronização das ciências, por outro, negacionismos carentes de fundamentação científica minimamente plausíveis. O texto se subdivide em três momentos. No primeiro, procuro abordar o paradoxo que vivemos na contemporaneidade, em que a produção da vida se dá entre negacionismos e cientificismos. No segundo, procuro evidenciar contribuições que a epistemologia poderia trazer, levando a discussão para o âmbito da formação universitária.
