Physical Education in high school: reflection and challenges about the themes of gymnastics

Resumo: This article exposes a report of the teaching experience with Gymnastics during the classes of school’s Physical Education. The didactic actions were organized in two public high schools, located in São Paulo. We began the classes showing videos of choreographies from different gymnastics practices (Rhythmic, Artistic, Acrobatic and Gymnastics for All). Then, we built, with the students, adaptations for the Rhythmic Gymnastics equipment and experienced the foundation of Artistic and Acrobatic Gymnastics. After this process, we asked the students to create a Gymnastic for All choreography that contained elements of all the gymnastics developed in class and using a theme that is relevant to society, what culminated, by means of a process of collective construction, into a Gymnastics for All performance. This report aimed to align the academic discussions with the school reality, as well as to show Physical Education teachers examples of the development of the theoretical proposals.

This report aimed to align the academic discussions with the school reality, as well as to show Physical Education teachers examples of the development of the theoretical proposals.El presente artículo expone un relato de experiencia pedagógica con la Gimnasia durante las clases de Educación Física escolar.  Las acciones didácticas fueron organizadas en dos escuelas públicas de Enseñanza Secundaria, ubicadas en la ciudad de São Paulo. Empezamos las clases mostrándoles a los estudiantes videos de coreografías de diferentes tipos  de gimnasia (Rítmica, Artística, Acrobática y Gimnasia para Todos). Luego, construimos con los/las estudiantes, adaptaciones de los aparatos de Gimnasia Rítmica y vivenciamos fundamentos de las Gimnasias Artística y Acrobática. Después de ese proceso, les solicitamos a los/las alumnos/as que creasen una coreografía de Gimnasia para Todos que contuviese elementos de todas las gimnasias desarrolladas en clase y en la cual utilizasen un tema relevante para la sociedad. Ese proceso  culminó, por medio de un proceso de construcción colectiva,  en una presentación de Gimnasia para Todos. Ese relato buscó tanto alinear las discusiones académicas con la realidad de la escuela,  como mostrarles a los/las profesores(as) de Educación Física ejemplos de desarrollo de propuestas teóricas.O presente artigo expõe um relato de experiência pedagógica com a Ginástica durante as aulas de Educação Física escolar. As ações didáticas foram organizadas em duas escolas públicas de Ensino Médio, localizadas na cidade de São Paulo. Iniciamos as aulas mostrando vídeos de coreografias de diferentes práticas gímnicas (Rítmica, Artística, Acrobática e Ginástica para Todos). Construímos então com os/as estudantes, adaptações dos aparelhos da Ginástica Rítmica e vivenciamos fundamentos das Ginásticas Artística e Acrobática. Depois desse processo, solicitamos aos/às alunos/as que criassem uma coreografia de Ginástica para Todos contendo elementos de todas as ginásticas desenvolvidas em aula e utilizando um tema relevante para a sociedade, que culminou por meio de um processo de construção coletiva em uma apresentação de Ginástica para Todos.
