Resumo: Technology has substantially changed the way we interact with the media and with sign/sign language translation and interpretation. The implementation of audiovisual accessibility resources, whose basic principle is access to information, in addition to a practice provided for by law, requires us to reflect on the inclusion of translation and interpretation in audiovisual materials and what translation possibilities can be implemented, to ensure accessibility to programs through sign/sign language for the deaf person. This article aims to present the reality in Portugal and Brazil with regard to audiovisual translation for deaf culture.
