A atividade com bioplástico propicia ao educando a oportunidade de adquirir conhecimento multidisciplinar significativo para sua vida, em conexão com as práticas pedagógicas. Deste modo o presente artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar os resultados de uma proposta de atividades desenvolvidas por estudantes onde os mesmo participaram de palestras sobre materiais plásticos, observaram e relataram o tempo de decomposição de amostras de plástico de amido e de plástico comum enterrados em solo. Optou-se pela metodologia de pesquisa descritiva. A revisão bibliográfica foi utilizada como procedimento para investigação do assunto. A integração da biologia e a química em um estudo de bioplástico de amido exemplifica muito bem um processo biotecnológico e não demanda muita dificuldade na montagem da atividade. Os resultados demonstraram mudança no comportamento e na aprendizagem dos estudantes em relação aos materiais plásticos.The purpose of teaching educational is to promote the scientific and technological education of citizens in order to provide the minimum preparation for work and development of creative thinking. The activity with bioplastic gives the learner the opportunity to acquire significant multidisciplinary knowledge for their life, in connection with the pedagogical practices. In this article has the objective of presenting the results of a proposal of activities developed by students where they participated in lectures on plastic materials, observed and reported the time of decomposition of plastic samples of starch and common plastic buried in soil . We chose a descriptive research methodology. The bibliographic review was used as a procedure to investigate the subject. The integration of biology and chemistry in a starch bioplastic study very well exemplifies a biotechnological process and does not require much difficulty in assembling the activity.
