Agronomia.O alho (Allium sativum) tem grande importância na produção mundial de alimentos. Como olerícola, é considerada a segunda maior espécie do gênero Allium, ficando atrás somente da cebola. No cultivo do alho existem fases importantes como a dormência do bulbilho, emergência, diferenciação, aparecimento da haste floral e a cura em galpão. As escalas fenológicas servem como ferramenta para auxiliar técnicos e produtores a entenderem os processos de desenvolvimento das plantas de forma mais simples, e assim melhorar a comunicação entre ambos. O presente trabalho teve o objetivo de desenvolver uma escala fenológica ilustrativa e adaptar a escala fenológica descritiva para a cultura do alho. O trabalho teve como base uma escala fenológica existente e dados de experimentos realizados na UFSC – Curitibanos, conduzidos durante os anos de 2014, 2015 e 2016, nos quais analisou-se a fenologia das cultivares Ito, São Valentin e Chonan. Na escala descritiva houve a adição da fase de cura, importante para o alho, assim como a substituição do estádio reprodutivo R4 (4/4 do crescimento reprodutivo) pelo estádio HF (emissão de haste floral) e R5 (Colheita) pelo estádio M (Maturação). A escala ilustrativa foi construída com base no conhecimento das partes da planta e dos principais estádios fenológicos.Garlic (Allium sativum) has great importance in the world food production. It is considered the second largest species of the genus Allium, leaving behind only the onion. In the cultivation of garlic there are important phases such as bulb dormancy, emergence, differentiation, appearance of the floral stem and the healing in shed. Phenological scales serve as a tool to help technicians and producers to understand plant development processes in a simpler way, and thus improve communication between them. The objective of this work was to develop an illustrative phenological scale and to adapt the descriptive phenological scale to the garlic. The work was based on experiments conducted at UFSC - Curitibanos, conducted during 2014, 2015 and 2016 years, analyzing the phenotype of the cultivars Ito, São Valentin and Chonan. In the descriptive scale there was the addition of the healing phase, very important for garlic, as well as the replacement of the reproductive stage R4 (4/4 of reproductive growth) by the FS stage (floral stem emission) and R5 (harvest) by the M (Maturation).
