Resumo: Functional food is a recently overexploited term used to increase the attention of onsumers, mainly from e-commerce users. Some websites can use this term to sale products that not fill required characters required for National Agency of Sannitary Vigillance of Brazil (ANVISA). This research aimed to evaluate advertisements from websites and the compliance with brazilian legislation according required terms by ANVISA. Data from 117 advertisements of 64 websites were evaluated in the period of march to june of 2017. Only 24% had all requirements estabilished by ANVISA, 76% presented one or more non- conformities, in 80,4% there were not any obligatory warnings about especific characters and 49,7% did not have nutritional table. Because low rates of compliance of these websites with national legislation, monitoring these websites is a way to assure safety for consumers.

Because low rates of compliance of these websites with national legislation, monitoring these websites is a way to assure safety for consumers. Universidade Federal de Santa Maria2018-08-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/3190110.5902/2236583431901Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.44, n.2, maio-ago. 2018Saúde (Santa Maria); Revista Saúde (Santa Maria), Vol.44, n.2, maio-ago. 20182236-58340103-4499reponame:Saúde (Santa Maria)instname:Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)instacron:UFSMporhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/article/view/31901/pdfCopyright (c) 2018 Saúde (Santa Maria)info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSilva Filho, Francisco Lopes daLira, Tainara MeloRamos, Lara Polyana SilvaRocha, Nicolle Luz MartinsSoares, Jôslanne dos SantosCosta, Mateus Flóro da SilvaRibeiro, Alessandra Braga2020-05-14T20:43:47Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/31901Revistahttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaudePUBhttps://periodicos.ufsm.br/revistasaude/oairevistasaude.ufsm@gmail.com || amanda.revsaude@gmail.com || beatriz.revsaude@gmail.com2236-58342236-5834opendoar:2020-05-14T20:43:47Saúde (Santa Maria) - Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM)false
