Physical Education curriculum theories: implications of pedagogical approaches in initial teacher education

Resumo: | The curricular theories of Physical Education, within academic discussions, are a field of complexity that affects the professional universe of different teachers in the area. We believe that this diversity of theories has implications for professional qualification in Physical Education, becoming a matter of debate, conflicts and dilemmas between students and teachers. Thereby, we seek to analyze the students' understanding of a Physical Education Degree course on the implications of the pedagogical approaches in the area for their professional training. The research is characterized as a qualitative type with descriptive aspects. The target demographic were academics of a Physical Education Degree. We conducted a semi-structured interview with them. Academics recognize that the approaches play the role of guiding teaching practice in the aspects of identity and didactic-methodological, but they experience difficulties in linking their pedagogical practice to the approaches, generating misunderstandings and conflicting situations. |

Creemos que esta diversidad de teorías tiene implicaciones para la formación profesional en Educación Física, convirtiéndose en un tema de debate, conflictos y dilemas entre alumnos y docentes. Con esto, buscamos analizar la comprensión de los académicos de una carrera de Licenciatura en Educación Física sobre las implicaciones de los enfoques pedagógicos en el área para su formación profesional. La investigación se caracteriza por ser de tipo cualitativo con aspectos descriptivos. El público objetivo fueron académicos de la carrera de Licenciatura en Educación Física. Realizamos una entrevista semiestructurada con ellos. Los académicos reconocen que los enfoques juegan el papel de orientar la práctica docente en los aspectos identitarios y didáctico-metodológicos, pero encuentran difícil vincular su práctica pedagógica a los enfoques, generando malentendidos y situaciones conflictivas.As teorias curriculares da Educação Física, dentro das discussões acadêmicas, são um campo de complexidade que atinge o universo profissional dos diferentes professores da área. Acreditamos que essa diversidade de teorias provoca implicações na formação profissional em Educação Física, configurando-se questão de debate, conflitos e dilemas entre os estudantes e professores. Com isso, buscamos analisar a compreensão dos acadêmicos, de um curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física, sobre as implicações das abordagens pedagógicas da área, para a sua formação profissional. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como do tipo qualitativa, com aspectos descritivos. O público-alvo foram acadêmicos de um curso de Licenciatura em Educação Física. Com eles, realizamos a entrevista semiestruturada. Os acadêmicos reconhecem que as abordagens desempenham a função de nortear a prática docente nos aspectos identitários e didático-metodológicos, mas sentem dificuldades em atrelar a sua prática pedagógica às abordagens, gerando mal-entendidos e situações conflitantes.
