“Yes, you know how to teach!” experience, narrative and (self)training

Resumo: The article reflects about an archaeological investigation of oneself, with a focus on the autobiographical and narrative fields, explaining iconic memories that boosted the interest in visual arts teaching. It evokes experiences present in the process of subjective (self)training, raising reflections about the pathway travelled during the time of schooling. The question that propelled the production of this writing movement corresponds to the occasion of enunciation of the sentence “Yes, you know how to teach!” uttered by Teacher Sueli Rezende, in the school context of the former fourth grade of elementary school.
