Orality in the classroom: reflections on working with oral genders from the use of elementary school teaching materials

Resumo: This article seeks to reflect on the conceptualization and use of oral genres as instruments in the process of teaching and learning Portuguese. In this sense, it is based on socio-interactionist assumptions of language, which are based on the perspective of textual genres. Thus, the objective is to verify the space given to oral genres from the analysis of didactic material intended for high school. The methodological procedures take into consideration aspects such as the approach of oral genres worked in the analyzed material; the description of the treatment offered to oral genders; the discussion of this treatment based on the reflections about the theoretical framework that underlies this work. In the analysis, it is noticed the prevalence of activities that contemplate the written genres; In addition, the use of oral genres as an object points to different situations: sometimes oral characteristics are explored; now oral is used in activities focused on writing.
