Financial and environmental education applied in basic education of João Goulart school of Palmeira das Missões, Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Resumo: This paper presents multiple considerations of practical and theoretical activities conducted at weekly meetings in a public school at Palmeira das Missões-RS. The actions were promoted by scholars professors of extension project linked to the Center for Research and Extension in Agribusiness (NPEAGRO). The approach on Financial Education and Environmental was developed in groups of 6 and 7 year at the State School President Joao Goulart, popularly knownas CIEP. For the implementation of educational activities, lectures were held, workshops and interactive games involving environmental and financial issues. The collaboration, integration and involvement of students during the meetings were essential to the performance of this work. The new concept of cover issues of their educational and social reality, allowed that the students feel more security and enthusiasm in reporting their experiences, in order to improve better concepts and attitudes towards the local community. The extension program described included about 45 basic education students, besides school teachers.

As ações foram promovidas por bolsistas e professores do projeto de extensão do Núcleo de Pesquisa e Extensão em Agronegócios (NPEAGRO). A abordagem sobre Educação Financeira e Ambiental foi desenvolvida em turmas de 6º e 7º ano da Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Presidente João Goulart, conhecida popularmente por CIEP. Para a execução das ações educativas, foram realizadas palestras, oficinas e jogos interativos envolvendo as temáticas ambientais e financeiras. A colaboração, a integração e o envolvimento dos estudantes durante os encontros foram essenciais para o bom desempenho deste trabalho. A nova concepção de abranger problemáticas da sua realidade escolar e social permitiu que os discentes sentissem mais segurança e entusiasmo em relatar suas experiências vividas diariamente, com o intuito de melhorar seus conceitos e atitudes perante a comunidade local.
