Resumo: This work arises intending to broaden the reflections about the relation of the school management and the teachers valuing. For that, it started from the following question: how a democratic school management can influence the recognition and teacher’s valuing in the public school? It was understood that by bringing the community into the school, especially in the events organized in pedagogic meetings, to value the initiatives of the teachers and other actions that help in the development of a high-level education, the managers demonstrated their understanding on the importance of a democratic school management and its recognition of teachers' work.Key-words: democratic school management; teachers valuing; recognition of teachers' work.

Para tanto, partiu do seguinte questionamento: como uma gestão escolar democrática pode influenciar o reconhecimento e valorização do professor na escola pública?
