Democratic management in the context of brazilian legislation: struggles and embates for the democratization of public education

Resumo: He intention of this article is to present a brief history of struggles, advances and achievements in the main Brazilian legislations in relation to the principle of democratic management, revisiting, in some moments, only articles that direct it to later laws, as constitutional principle of the Federal Constitution of 1988: the Law on the Guidelines and Bases of National Education, law n. 9,394/96 and the National Education Plans: law n. 10,172 / 2001 and law n. 13,005/2014. Just as democracy is based on the principles of autonomy and freedom, democratic management also refers to these, becoming part of the discussions and clashes of education.Key-words: educational legislation; democratic management; democratization.
