Portuguese as an additional language for the deaf and their learning process in conjunction with Libras as the matrix language

Resumo: This research approach the relational process between the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) and the Portuguese Language (PL), in the appropriation of writing by deaf signers. A certain hybridization in the learning of PL is supposed to result from the singular experience materialized in the deaf body, from its interactions with Libras, named here as a matrix language. Although research in the area of ​​deafness discusses the importance of differentiated teaching of PL for the deaf, based on proposals for second language teaching (L2), methodological problems are still present in this area. Some researches points as a strategy to repair this the applicability of didactic materials and new teaching methods. However, as the limitations in teaching deaf people are still evident, the aim of this study was to discuss the process of learning written PL based on the conceptual description of the matrix language and additional language, built on the concept of the experience matrix in Michel Foucault, in the philosophies of difference. For this study, it was necessary to promote the state of the art of research, on the theme of learning deaf in the Portuguese written language, with the help of a bibliographic survey. The theoretical reflection and the bibliography studied show that the contribution of studies on the teaching of the Portuguese language for the deaf, showing what we have about research in this field and what we need to outline as novelty. In short, the outlined panorama reveals the need for conceptual expansion for this area.

Se supone una cierta hibridación en el aprendizaje de LP, que es el resultado de la experiencia singular materializada en el cuerpo sordo, de sus interacciones con Libras, denominado aquí como lengua matriz. Las investigaciones discuten la importancia de la enseñanza diferenciada de LP para sordos, a partir de propuestas para la enseñanza de una segunda lengua (L2), aún existen problemas metodológicos. Algunas investigaciones apuntan como estrategia para reparar esto la aplicabilidad de materiales didácticos y nuevos métodos de enseñanza. Sin embargo, como las limitaciones en la enseñanza de las personas sordas aún son evidentes, el objetivo de este estudio fue discutir el proceso de aprendizaje de la escritura de LP a partir de la descripción conceptual de lengua matriz y lengua adicional, construido sobre el concepto de matriz de experiencia en Michel Foucault, en las filosofías de la diferencia. Para este estudio, fue necesario promover el estado del arte de la investigación, sobre el tema del aprendizaje de los sordos en la lengua portuguesa escrita, con la ayuda de una encuesta bibliográfica. La reflexión teórica y la bibliografía estudiada evidencian la contribución de los estudios sobre la enseñanza de la lengua portuguesa para sordos, mostrando lo que tenemos de investigación en este campo y lo que necesitamos esbozar como novedad. En general, el panorama revela la necesidad de una expansión conceptual para este ámbito.Este trabalho aborda o processo relacional entre a Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) e a Língua Portuguesa (LP) na apropriação da escrita por pessoas surdas sinalizadoras. Supõem-se certa hibridização na aprendizagem da LP que resulta da experiência singular materializada no corpo surdo, a partir das suas interações com a Libras, adotada aqui como uma língua matriz. Embora pesquisas na área da surdez discutam a importância do ensino diferenciado da LP para surdos, a partir de propostas de ensino de segunda língua (L2), problemas metodológicos ainda são presentes nesta área. Pesquisas apontam, como estratégia de reparo, a aplicabilidade de materiais didáticos e novos métodos de ensino. No entanto, como as limitações no ensino de surdos ainda são evidentes, o intuito deste estudo foi o de discutir o processo do aprender a LP escrita com base na descrição conceitual de língua matriz e língua adicional, construídos a partir do conceito de matriz de experiência em Michel Foucault, portanto, nas filosofias da diferença. Para esse estudo, foi necessário promover o estado da arte de pesquisas, na temática sobre o aprender surdo da língua portuguesa escrita, com o auxílio do levantamento bibliográfico. A reflexão teórica e a bibliografia estudada, dos últimos dez anos, apresentam como resultados a contribuição de estudos sobre o ensino da língua portuguesa para surdos, mostrando o que se tem acerca das pesquisas neste campo e o que precisamos traçar como novidade para este cenário investigado.
