Resumo: | This paper presents a study that aimed to know the perceptions of teachers of the Municipal Education Network who refer students with suspected dyslexia or with specific learning disability with reading and writing impairment to the Municipal Specialized Care Program (PRAEM). The questions that guided the proposed discussion were: to understand the reasons that lead the teachers of the municipal school system to refer the students to PRAEM due to the possibility of having dyslexia; analyze if the reasons for referral for evaluation are in accordance with the specialized literature; and identify the procedure (s) of professionals after the student's referral to PRAEM. For the accomplishment of this work, theoretical references about specific learning disorders with emphasis on dyslexia were approached. Therefore, for data collection, a document analysis was performed, and a questionnaire was applied. The documents analyzed were the PRAEM referral forms for dyslexia evaluation, being sixty-two referral forms from twenty-six schools of the municipal school system. From the proposed study it is concluded that the reasons that lead the teachers of the municipal school to refer students to PRAEM, in most cases, are related to reading, writing and mathematics difficulties and consistent with the specialized literature that treats about it. |

From the proposed study it is concluded that the reasons that lead the teachers of the municipal school to refer students to PRAEM, in most cases, are related to reading, writing and mathematics difficulties and consistent with the specialized literature that treats about it.Este trabalho apresenta um estudo que teve o objetivo conhecer as percepções dos professores da Rede Municipal de Educação que encaminham os alunos com suspeita de dislexia ou com transtorno específico da aprendizagem com prejuízo na leitura e/ou escrita ao Programa de Atendimento Especializado Municipal (PRAEM). As questões que nortearam a discussão proposta foram: compreender os motivos que levam os professores da rede municipal de ensino a encaminharem os alunos para o PRAEM devido a possibilidade de terem dislexia; analisar se os motivos do encaminhamento para a avaliação estão de acordo com a literatura especializada; e, identificar o(s) procedimento(s) dos profissionais após o encaminhamento do aluno para o PRAEM. Para a realização deste trabalho foram abordados referenciais teóricos sobre os transtornos específicos da aprendizagem com ênfase na dislexia. Portanto para a coleta de dados foi realizada uma análise documental e aplicado um questionário. Os documentos analisados foram as fichas de encaminhamento ao PRAEM para avaliação em dislexia, sendo sessenta e duas fichas de encaminhamentos de vinte e seis escolas da rede municipal de ensino.
