“RAPE WITHOUT INTENT": THE TRANSITIVITY SYSTEM IN THE MARIANA FERRER'S JUDICIAL REPRESENTATION IN THE LIGHT OF THE SYSTEMIC-FUNCTIONAL LINGUISTICS

Resumo: This study proposes to observe the representation of Mariana Ferrer, young who, in 2018, recorded a report of occurrence reporting having been drugged and raped in a luxury establishment in Florianópolis/ SC through the analysis of the court statements of the procedural book. So, the main goal is, through the transitivity system, to analyze the language used by the deponents to build representations of Mariana in fifteen testimonies through the selection of processes and thematic roles present in the passages related to the moments close to the event. The theoretical framework is based on the works of Halliday and Matthiessen (2014) and Fuzer and Cabral (2014), in the light of the contribution of Systemic-Functional Linguistics, which describes and analyzes the language from the potential choices of the speaker/writer. In the legal discourse, the analysis of  choices in lexicogrammar made by speakers in favor of their views revealed a tendency to represent it from behavior patterns that meet socially established models.

In the legal discourse, the analysis of  choices in lexicogrammar made by speakers in favor of their views revealed a tendency to represent it from behavior patterns that meet socially established models. O presente estudo propõe-se a observar a representação de Mariana Ferrer jovem que, em 2018, registrou um boletim de ocorrência relatando ter sido drogada e estuprada em um estabelecimento de luxo em Florianópolis/SC, por meio da análise dos depoimentos judiciais do caderno processual. Assim, o objetivo principal é, através do sistema de transitividade, analisar a linguagem usada pelos depoentes para construir representações de Mariana em quinze depoimentos por meio da seleção dos processos e dos papéis temáticos presentes nos trechos relacionados aos momentos próximos ao ocorrido. O referencial teórico baseia-se nas obras de Halliday e Matthiessen (2014) e de Fuzer e Cabral (2014), à luz do aporte da Linguística Sistêmico-Funcional, que descreve e analisa a língua a partir das escolhas potenciais do enunciador.
