TRANSFIGURED LANDSCAPE: RIOBALDO AND THE PACT WITH THE DEVIL IN AUDIOVISUAL MEDIA

Resumo: Grande Sertão: Veredas (1956) originated another literary work: a television miniseries. Thus, I seek to understand how the new media interacts with the text of the original work within the limits of an "adaptation". On the basis of intersemiotic translation, I analyse how “sertão” manifests itself as a landscape and its relationship with the myth of Faust in the work, therefore I analyse the figurations of the narrative moment in which Riobaldo shouts the name of the devil in the Veredas-Mortas. Finally, results show the formal relations that constitute the subjectivity of the character in each work.

A partir de la traducción intersemiótica, investigo cómo el "sertão" se manifiesta como paisaje y su relación con el mito de Fausto en la obra, por lo que analizo las figuraciones del momento narrativo en que Riobaldo grita el nombre del diablo en las Veredas-Mortas. Por último, los resultados muestran las relaciones formales que constituyen la subjetividad del personaje en cada obra.Grande Sertão : Veredas (1956) est à l'origine d'une autre œuvre littéraire du même nom : une mini-série télévisée. Je cherche donc à comprendre comment le nouveau média, élaboré à partir de ses propres configurations, interagit avec le texte de l'œuvre originale dans les limites de ce que l'on appelle communément "l'adaptation". À partir de la traduction intersémiotique, j'aborde la manière dont le "sertão" se manifeste en tant que paysage et la relation avec le mythe de Faust dans l'œuvre. L'analyse se limite aux figurations du moment narratif où Riobaldo s'exclame le nom du démon dans les "Veredas-Mortas". Enfin, les relations formelles qui constituent la subjectivité du personnage dans chaque œuvre sont mises en évidence.Grande Sertão: Veredas (1956) originou outra obra literária de nome homônimo: uma minissérie televisiva. Assim, busco compreender como a nova mídia elaborada a partir de configurações próprias, interage com o texto da obra original facultada aos limites do que é popularmente conhecido como "adaptação". A partir da tradução intersemiótica abarco como o “sertão” se manifesta enquanto paisagem e a relação com o mito de Fausto na obra. A análise delimita-se às figurações do momento narrativo em que Riobaldo exclama o nome do demônio nas "Veredas-Mortas”.
