Educational and work trajectories of egresses from the Federal District prison system

Resumo: The present work sought to know the educational and work aspects in the life histories of two egress of the prison system in the Federal District before, during and after the deprivation of liberty, in addition to understanding their expectations and the social resources available to them for their reintegration in the labor market and reintegration into the educational system in life outside the walls. The method chosen for the investigation was Life Story of Gaulejac that seek to understand the complexity of intersubjective relationships in the educational and work spheres, and from the narratives of life,zones of meaning were built, namely:educational experiences before passing through the system prison, access to education and work in the prison system and educational and work opportunities in post-prison life. In the life reports, the school was briefly described and does not occupy a relevant place in its pre-prison trajectories. In addition, education is not prioritized within the prison system and work fulfills a function of controlling and occupying the prisoner's time. In extramural life, work becomes an identity support and promotes their autonomy and dignity as a way of recognizing that the individual is no longer involved in crime.

In extramural life, work becomes an identity support and promotes their autonomy and dignity as a way of recognizing that the individual is no longer involved in crime.O presente estudo buscou compreender as trajetórias educacionais e de trabalho nas histórias de vida de dois egressos do sistema penitenciário do Distrito Federal antes, durante e após a privação de liberdade, além de conhecer suas expectativas e os recursos sociais disponíveis a estes para a sua reinserção no mercado de trabalho e reintegração no sistema educacional na vida extramuros. O método escolhido para a investigação foi a História de Vida  buscando entender a complexidade das relações intersubjetivas nos âmbitos educacional e laboral, e  a partir das narrativas de vida foram construídas zonas de sentido, sendo elas: vivências educacionais antes da passagem pelo sistema prisional, acesso à educação e trabalho no sistema prisional e oportunidades educacionais e de trabalho na vida pós-prisional. Nos relatos de vida a escola foi descrita de maneira breve e não ocupa lugar relevante em suas trajetórias pré-cárcere. Além disso, a educação não é priorizada dentro do sistema prisional e o trabalho cumpre uma função de controle e ocupação do tempo do preso.
