PORTUGUESE CLASSES IN THE DIGITAL AGE: what do certain students say?

The teaching of Portuguese, through a historical dimension, is approached under different conceptions of language/languages that influenced it, according to Geraldi (1984).Language, as a means of interaction, a conception that revolutionizes the teaching of Portuguese, requires another methodological approach to this object, in which the social use of language should be relevant in circumstances related to speaking, listening, reading and writing.From the expansion of the digital textual world and the requirement of the methodological change in the teaching of the object another conception is added to that one. What do certain students say about it? This subject is discussed in this article, which follows the theoretical understandings of Soares (2002; 2009;), Rojo and Barbosa (2015), Coscarelli and Ribeiro (2011), Xavier (2008), Lévy (2010),   among others.
