Analysis of experiences in Portuguese as a second language from an intersectional perspective

Resumo: This qualitative case study focuses on the concepts of experiences and intersectionality to analyze the relationship between an exchange student and the Portuguese language. This paper uses evidential paradigm to analyze data collected from semi structured interviews. The results of the study revealed that the experiences are related to the relationships, dynamics and circumstances experienced by a biography inscribed in a physical body that cannot be neglected. It is possible that lived experiences, in the intersection of the vectors of oppression, engender emotions that affect learning. Therefore, we suggest a responsible agenda for Applied Linguistics.

Este artigo utiliza o paradigma indiciário para analisar os dados coletados pelas entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os resultados do estudo revelaram que as experiências têm a ver com as relações, dinâmicas e circunstâncias vivenciadas por uma biografia inscrita em um corpo físico que não pode ser negligenciado. É possível que experiências vividas, no entrecruzamento dos vetores de opressão, engendrem emoções que afetem a aprendizagem.
