Resumo: | Considering the diversity of possibilities of genres analyses, in this study, we chose socio rhetorical approach, which is characterized, in general, for an interest in the social nature of discourse. Among the theorists who follow this line of research, we selected the studies of Swales (1990), since his work turns to genre analysis in a professional and academic context. Regarding the academic context, Swales intends to get students to develop the knowledge of genres and learn to produce texts that have the genre characteristics. From this perspective, this article aims to identify qualitatively the rhetorical organization the introduction of internship report genre produced by undergraduate students of Letters – Portuguese, English and Spanish languages and Agronomy from Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU). The theoretical and methodological apparatus adopted is based on the contributions of Swales (1990) related to analysis, genre teaching and to the application of CARS model (Create a Research Space). We conclude that although there is flexibility in the rhetorical information in the internship reports of the two surveyed courses, demonstrating particular styles used by the authors, there is a pattern (almost unchanged) of this information. |

We conclude that although there is flexibility in the rhetorical information in the internship reports of the two surveyed courses, demonstrating particular styles used by the authors, there is a pattern (almost unchanged) of this information.
