Uncertainties of remote education and social distance: reflections on educational praxis in Afin/Ituiutaba (2020)

Resumo: This experience report aims to reflect on the proposal by Afin/Ituiutaba in 2020 with regard to the fulfillment of its goals, relating it to the principles of education from a Freirean perspective. Therefore, we present as methodological procedures, the analysis of the documents: the proposal of Afin/Ituiutaba 2020 in the remote model due to the Covid-19 pandemic; the project submitted to the Extension Information System; and the results report which contains the activities performed. The analysis considered the dialogue with an education that fights alienation and oppression, subsidized by a Freirean perspective (BRANDÃO, 2006; FREIRE, 1979a, 1979b, 1987, 1996). In this way, it was possible to analyze the actions of Afin/Ituiutaba in 2020 as drivers of an education based on the principles of autonomy and emancipation, based on the exchange of experiences between students, teachers and community. We found that, despite the various challenges to promote this educational perspective, Afin/Ituiutaba reinvented itself and managed to achieve its goals, making the right to education more accessible to a portion of students, especially to groups neglected in face of social inequalities.

Como procedimentos metodológicos, apresentamos a análise de documentos: a proposta do Afin/Ituiutaba 2020 no modelo remoto devido à pandemia da Covid-19; o projeto submetido ao Sistema de Informação de Extensão; e o relatório de resultados que contém as atividades realizadas. A análise considerou o diálogo com uma educação que combate a alienação e a opressão, subsidiando-se por uma perspectiva freireana (BRANDÃO, 2006; FREIRE, 1979a, 1979b, 1987, 1996). Dessa maneira, foi possível analisar as ações do programa em 2020 como impulsionadoras de uma educação que se pauta nos princípios da autonomia e emancipação, fundamentada nas trocas de experiências entre estudantes, docentes e comunidade.
