Resumo: The article talks about full-time education, with the objective of analyzing the thematic in the scope of public politics emanating from the government Michel Temer. For this purpose, takes as analysis material emanated by the Education Ministry, in opposition with articles of researches on the field of educational politics. Asserts that full-time education was reinstated by the National Education Plan Law nº 13.005/2014, as objective nº 6, reassuring the necessity of children to remain in school for the necessary time to conclude Basic Education, overcome illiteracy and elevate, consequentially, the schooling of Brazilian population. However, a political scenario is portrayed by budget cuts and a hierarchical and authoritarian management, which limits the application possibilities of an emancipatory full-time education engaged with the integral development of the students.

Para tanto, assume como material de análise os documentos oficiais emanados pelo Ministério da Educação, em confronto com artigos de pesquisadores da área de políticas educacionais. Assevera-se que a educação integral foi retomada pelo Plano Nacional de Educação, Lei nº 13.005/2014, como Meta nº 6, reafirmando a necessidade de as crianças permanecerem na escola o tempo necessário para concluírem a educação básica, superar o analfabetismo e elevar, consequentemente, a escolaridade da população brasileira.
