Resumo: This paper, carried out through bibliographical and documentary research, sought to analyze the importance of knowledge of the right to education in the continuing education of teachers who work in rural schools of basic education. It aimed to demonstrate the right to education in the countryside have their own guarantees for the students of the rural school and this is a necessary knowledge for the teacher. In order for education to be consolidated and effectively recognized as a right by its holders, it is essential that the basic education teacher also recognizes the student as a subject of law, is aware of the specifics of the right to rural education and is a mediator in this continuous process of realization of rights and the Escola da Terra Program offers this training.

Tuvo como objetivo demostrar que el derecho a la educación en el campo tiene sus propias garantías para los alumnos de la escuela del campo y este es un conocimiento necesario para el docente. Para que la educación sea consolidada y reconocida efectivamente como un derecho por sus titulares, es fundamental que el docente de educación básica también reconozca al estudiante como sujeto de derecho, conozca las especificidades del derecho a la educación rural y sea un mediador. en este proceso continuo de realización de derechos y el Programa Escola da Terra ofrece esta formación.Este trabalho, realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental buscou analisar qual a importância do conhecimento do direito à educação do campo na formação continuada dos professores que atuam em escolas rurais da educação básica. Teve como objetivo demonstrar que o direito à educação do campo tem garantias próprias para os educandos da escola do campo e este é um saber necessário ao professor.
