Distance education and emergency education in times of pandemic: the alternative of remote learning and other variants

Resumo: In this article, result of a bibliographic study, we propose to discuss Distance Education (EaD in Portuguese abbreviation) and remote emergency training in college education, in the context of New Coronavirus (Sars-CoV-2/COVID-19) pandemic. In this regard, we address the performance and teacher training in the current juncture of educational policies. Hence, we seek to discuss EaD policies and their relationship with changes in the educational sphere, in addition to analyze teaching performance in this educational model and in emergency distance training. Furthermore, we observe variants among them in this new configuration of work, which uses digital platforms and tools, and intensifies to “mitigate” the damage in the educational process.

Notre but est de tisser un regard sur les performances et la formation des enseignants dans le contexte actuel des politiques éducatives. En ce sens, nous allons proposer une discussion sur les politiques d'enseignement à distance et de leur relation avec les mutations de la sphère éducative, et nous allons analyser les performances pédagogiques dans l’enseignement à distance et dans l’enseignement à distance en état d’urgence.  Il s’agit ici de notre perception des variantes existantes dans cette nouvelle configuration de travail, qui exploite des plateformes et des outils numériques, en vue d’atténuer les dommages dans le processus éducatif.Neste artigo, resultado de um estudo bibliográfico, propomos discutir a Educação a Distância (EaD) e o ensino emergencial remoto no Ensino Superior, diante do contexto da pandemia do Novo Coronavírus (Sars-CoV-2/COVID-19). Para isso, abordamos a atuação e a formação do professor na atual conjuntura de políticas educacionais. Nesse sentido, pretendemos discutir as políticas de EaD e suas relações com as mudanças no âmbito educacional, além de analisarmos a atuação docente nessa modalidade educativa e no ensino emergencial a distância.
