The genre of discourse comic strip: a proposal of didactic sequence for the elementary school II

Resumo: | This study observed if an interdisciplinary work based on the didatization of a textual genre could be worthy in widening the reading skills in English of students taking an Integrated Technical High School course and also their knowledge in sciences. In order to accomplish this, cartoons in English from the character Calvin (WATTERSON, 1998; 1992), which refer to Mathematics and Physics contents were used. Activities were developed in an integrated approach, embracing the cartoon’s text genre characteristics; English structure elements and science contents. Based on the vygotskyan notion that social interaction (VYGOTSKY, 2005) promotes psychological development, which provides learning, activities were taken as an element of mediation in students’ interdisciplinary knowledge construction. Results point out to a learning growth in all areas: English, Mathematics and Physics, specially concerning foreign language reading skills. |

Para este fin, el marco teórico fueron los postulados de Bakhtin sobre los géneros del discurso y los estudios de Cirne (1972), Einser (2005), McCloud (2008), Ramos y Vergueiro (2009), Ramos (2012; 2014) y Rama. y Vergueiro (2014), sobre los elementos característicos del lenguaje autónomo de los cómics. Teniendo en cuenta que el enfoque de género dibujado en los libros de texto en portugués se centra principalmente en el estudio de las normas gramaticales, ignorando aspectos discursivos relevantes como el contexto de producción y circulación y la articulación entre el lenguaje verbal y no verbal. , a través de la Secuencia Didáctica presentada, se propone un enfoque de historieta para contemplar aspectos relacionados con su estructura compositiva, estilo verbal y contenido temático.Este artigo tem como objetivoa presentar uma sequência didática, voltada para os anos finais do Ensino Fundamental II, contemplando o gênero do discurso tirinha, valorizando-o como recurso significativo para o ensino de Língua Portuguesa. Para tanto, tomou-se como referencial teórico os postulados bakhtinianos sobre gêneros do discurso e os estudos de Cirne (1972), Einser (2005), McCloud (2008), Ramos e Vergueiro (2009), Ramos (2012; 2014) e Rama e Vergueiro (2014), sobre os elementos característicos da linguagem autônoma dos quadrinhos. Levando em conta que a abordagem do gênero tirinha nos livros didáticos de Língua Portuguesa volta-se, predominantemente, para o estudo das normas gramaticais, ignorando aspectos discursivos relevantes, como o contexto de produção e de circulação e a articulação entre linguagem verbal e não verbal, propõe-se, por meio da Sequência Didática apresentada,uma abordagem da tirinha, de modo a contemplar aspectos relacionados à sua estrutura composicional, estilo verbal e conteúdo temático.
